There are common misconceptions between hemp oil, CBD oil, hemp extract and CBD extract as well as full spectrum and isolate.

Hemp oil: cold-pressed from the seed

CBD oil: extracted from the flowers

Some companies label CBD oil (extract) as hemp oil in order to navigate regulation. Look for words CBD, extract or hemp extract on a label. The product should contain CBD because the “extract” is from hemp flowers (where cannabinoids are produced).

Full spectrum CBD: contains CBD and other minor cannabinoids (may include THC)

CBD isolate: 99.9% CBD and no other cannabinoids
