Cannabidiolic acid (CBDA) is a non-intoxicating compound present in the cannabis plant with potential health benefits. It converts to the better known cannabinoid cannabidiol (CBD) over time and when exposed to heat.

CBDA interacts with the endocannabinoid system by inhibiting the cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) enzyme, which are associated with inflammation after an injury or infection. So, by blocking COX-2 enzymes, CBDA can relieve inflammation and associated pain.

Cannabigerol (CBG), non psychoactive, is essentially the parent cannabinoid. Every other cannabinoid starts out as CBG and then eventually converts to other cannabinoids like THC or CBD. CBG is known to help reduce pain and inflammation.
